    WHAT IS ENERGY PSYCHOLOGY?

    Energy is the blueprint and the infrastructure for the health of any body. Our body is composed of energy pathways and energy centres that are in a dynamic interplay with our cells, organs, moods, and thoughts. If these energies shift then one can shift their health, emotions, and the state of mind.

    Energy psychology focuses on the inter-relationship of energy systems, emotion, behaviour, psychopathology and health. These systems include the electrical activity of the nervous system, acupuncture meridians, chakras and bio-fields.

    The term Energy Psychology is given to a broad range of psychological treatments and it also describes a new field of innovative interventions that balance, restore, and enhance human functioning by stimulating the human energy system. Energy Psychology refers only to those therapies that use both psychological and energetic interventions together in a particular format. Included in this group of energy psychology are treatments such as Thought Field Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique and other such therapies. Each of these treatments intentionally utilizes one of the human energy systems such as the meridian system, the chakra system or the aura system.

    Energy Psychology techniques add a unique therapeutic dimension by correcting a disruption in the energy system, these techniques can bring complete balance within a disturbed internal pattern and virtually rewire the inner world. From Energy Psychology point of view, painful physical, emotional and spiritual symptoms are the result of a disruption in the body’s energy system, when the disruption is corrected; symptoms get replaced by healthy functioning. For example, any phobic response to dogs would be replaced by a calm response to dogs. All aspects of the phobic response would normalize.
