Panasonic touches low price segment with EZ180 and EZ240 at Rs 1,350 and Rs 1,790

Throwing open the competition for low priced handsets, Panasonic has launched two feature phones in the highly affordable range of Rs 1,350 and Rs 1,790. Both EZ180 and EZ240 are expected to set the price war as other companies could follow the suit. The Japanese electronics major has equipped both the handsets with good supportive features along with economy.

Panasonic has claimed that both phones have a good battery life, Hindi support and security features like mobile tracker, security inbox and application privacy.

In the company’s statement Panasonic India Managing Director Manish Sharma said “With these new offerings, Panasonic is focusing on expanding beyond the metros and delivering a remarkable mobile experience to the Indian mass consumers in tier II and tier III cities.”

“This launch is a testimony to the company’s focus in reaching out to these markets which are increasingly price-sensitive perfectly matching to our consumers needs for affordable solutions,” he added.

The company had launched few premium smartphone models since May last year, when it entered into the domestic market and aims to achieve a market share of 8 per cent in first year.
