Accused Ishant Mandade and Deceased Manoj Lodkar
Nagpur: Manoj Annaji Lodkar (45), a resident of Umred Road, was bludgeoned to death, allegedly, by his wife’s lover Ishant Mandade (20). As informed by the police, the victim was found dead near an alcohol shop at Rajkamal Chowk.
Both had been having enmity against each other as, according to the sources, deceased’s twenty five year old wife had an extra marital affair with Ishant. Korpe, officer at the Ajni Police Station informed that Manoj and Ishant had been having tensions between them as Ishant was having an affair with Manoj’s wife which, obviously, was being opposed by him.
After an argument, over the issue, the duo left for having alcohol on Sunday night. After the shop was closed, an argument had popped up again, which later, led to a fight. In aggression, Ishant allegedly, bludgeoned Manoj with a stone and escaped. The police has registered a murder case against Ishant and is trying to trace him down who has been absconding since the incident.
