NMC gears up for Dhammachakra Pravartan Din

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has geared itself up for the forthcoming Dhammachakra Pravartan Din to be celebrated at Nagpur’s Deekshabhoomi on October 3. Keeping in mind the unprecedented rush of devotees the NMC has started putting various arrangements at place for facilitating smooth passing of the day for visiting pilgrims. Accordingly, the Health Department of NMC has cleaned the ITI, Mata Kacheri and Deekshabhoomi premises of wild grass and bushes. Similarly, work of setting up temporary toilets and bathrooms has almost been completed. The Health Department will undertake cleaning of these toilets and bathrooms round the clock from October 2 to 4 and will be monitored by Zonal Officers, Health Inspectors and other employees under the direct supervision of Deputy Director (Health) Dr Milind Ganvir, Medical Officer (Sanitation) Dr Ashok Urkude and Food Inspector Sudhir Fating.
