Nagpur:
In Maharashtra 44,000 protesting doctors have refused to call off the strike despite an assurance from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, that armed policemen will be stationed in sensitive hospitals.

He also added that the government will work for a long term plan for a monitored CCTV network. Fadnavis also said that if a doctor is attacked on duty – expenses for legal and medical aid will be borne by the government. However – the agitating doctors say they will only end the strike once they see changes on the ground.
