Lottery Trader’s murder : Audio clip of kidnapper-deceased’s brother surfaces, accused on the run

Nagpur: The sensational kidnapping and murder of a lottery trader in Lakadganj has once again brought to the fore the ugly face of crime in Nagpur. Even as the family of 31 year old Rahul Agrekar, the deceased son of lottery trader Suresh Agrekar identified his body, a sensational tape including the conversation between the kidnapper and the deceased’s brother Jayesh has surfaced. In the audio clip, Jayesh is heard requesting the kidnapper to lower the ransom amount but the latter was adamant. Jayesh had reportedly arranged for Rs 40 lakh but things could not work out during telephonic conversation.

In the audio clip received by Nagpur Today, Jayesh is heard requesting for more time to arrange for the cash while the man on the other hand was threatening him. “Mere aadmi jinke paas tumhara bhai hai unka mood kharab ho raha hai,” he said. To this Jayesh pleaded for time till next morning to which the kidnapper agreed. However even before that, Rahul’s charred body was recovered. Rahul’s burnt body was found near in Petichuha jungles near Bothli village, 10 kms off Butibori. At first the parents were in dilemma over claiming the body but later in the day they took the body for last rituals.Rahul’s last rites were performed on Thursday.

Accused still out of police radar
Meanwhile the accused are still at large. Police have dashed teams to various districts to hunt for the perpetrators but could not succeed so far. However senior cops claimed that the accused would be nabbed soon. Rahul was kidnapped on November 21 at 8.30 am from Darodkar square under Lakadganj police station. Rahul was allegedly kidnapped by a goon from Rani Durgawati square area.

Cops await DNA report
Police are trying to ascertain the identity of the body recovered through performing DNA test after which things would get more clear.
