Beautiful ladies came together in their best traditional avatar at Radhakrishna temple in Clarke Town, Nagpur and soaked up in the purity of their Karwa Chauth’s fast which they had observed for the long lives and well-being of their respective husbands. While the women glittered the do in their finest traditional wear, with chudis, kanganas, bindiyas and maang teekas galore, the sarees and ethnic salwar suits too were no less.

The traditionally designed wear lit up the beauties like no other times. As the day drew towards the end the women encircled a pooja sthal holding all their pooja thalis. The members of Punjabi families often conduct many functions at this temple and privy among those are Oberai family members.

“We all gathered in all our traditional wear and pooja thalis. We offered our prayers at the temple and then indulged in some ladies gossip (smiles) to get into our lighter veins. Then we headed to our homes and broke our fast after seeing the moon,” says Vartika Oberai who dazzled in her bright orange colored salwar suit.

About the moon remaining invisible for most of the time owing to clouds, Vartika says, “The moon remained elusive but we saw a glimpse of it at around 9.45 pm and we were happy that we finally watched it!.”

Well ladies… we too pray your wishes come true!
