Nagpur: Abhijeet Patankar, IRS, who is at present working as an Additional IT Commissioner, Mumbai, has been promoted to the post of IT Commissioner of Panji-Goa division.
Patankar, a Commerce graduate from Nagpur, obtained the degree of Law from Law College, Nagpur in year 1993 with first division, scoring so many meritorious awards.
He is the youngest IRS officer of 1994 batch. He is son of Arun Patkar, IAS (retired). His elder sister, Manisha Patankar-Mhaiskar is secretary in urban development department, and he is brother-in-law of Milind Mhaiskar who is secretary to the Chief Minister, informed a press release issued by DIO, Nagpur
