Ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh has engaged to model-turned-actress girlfriend Hazel Keech at a private ceremony in Bali. Yuvraj, who is currently out of the Indian set-up, plans on getting married by February 2016, according to reports.
Yuvraj and Hazel have been dating for the last three months, but were able to maintain their distance from the media. Few days ago, Yuvraj had hinted about his marriage on Twitter, during a conversation with Harbhajan Singh, who recently got hitched to actress Geeta Basra. Both Yuvraj and Hazel had even attended the wedding.
“Yuvraj has known Hazel for the last three years, but started dating only three months back,” Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam Singh told Zee News.
Father Yograj Singh believes that Yuvraj’s marriage to Hazel will change his son’s fortunes and he will return to the national fold. Yograj, impressed by his son’s choice, feels Yuvraj will definitely make a comeback to the national team. “I was introduced to her by Yuvraj and she is a very nice girl. I am confident that marrying her will change his fortunes and he will return to the national squad,” Yograj said.
“He definitely has it in him to represent India. It is sad how Mahendra Singh Dhoni spoilt his international career. The same had happened to me when my friend Kapil Dev had destroyed my India career.”
Yuvraj has earlier been linked to Bollywood actress Kim Sharma and was later reportedly involved with Deepika Padukone in early 2008.
