Nagpur: A 23-year old boy attempted to murder a man and his mother over a share in landed property in Jaripatka area on Sunday morning. The accused has reportedly been arrested.
The trouble ensued when the complainant Sunil Vinayak Tandekar (35), resident of Plot No. 27, Ramainagar in Jaripatka area, along with his mother, had gone to inspect their landed property situated in Ashok Samrat Nagar, Nari Road. While the mother-son duo was inspecting the property, the accused Dinesh Harishchandra Sonekar (23) of Samata Nagar came there and started an argument with Sunil’s mother. As the wordy duel was going on, Sunil asked the accused Dinesh as to why he wants money and a share in the property. Enraged by Sunil’s poser, Dinesh whipped out a knife and inflicted a deep stab wound on Sunil’s neck with the intention of eliminating him. When Sunil’s mother tried to save him, she was also attacked by Dinesh and caused injury on her hand.
Jaripatka PSI Dongre booked the accused Dinesh Sonekar under Sections 307, 324 of the IPC and reportedly placed him under arrest.
