Youth returning home after watching movie looted

Nagpur: Two accused way-laid a youth who was returning home after watching a movie “Jai Gangajal” in Panchasheel Talkies and looted cash and mobile in all worth Rs 15, 500/- late in the night on March 6, 2016.
The victim identified as Surya was stopped by two youth on a black coloured motorcycle near Lohar Samaj Bhawan on Beltirodi Road. The accused asked the victim Surya to show his license and documents of his vehicle.

When the victim asked the accused duo, who they were, the accused are alleged to have said that they are cops. When the victim asked the accused to show their identity card, the alleged cops started hitting the victim on his head. When the victim fell down they rained fists, blows and kicks on him.

The accused then looted Rs 9500/- from the victim’s wallet and his mobile phone in all goods worth Rs 15, 500/- (Rupees Fifteen thousand five hundred only).

After the incident, the victim Surya went to Ajni Police Station and lodged a complaint with the cops. The Ajni Police registered a case of looting under section 394, 34 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified accused and is investigating further.
