Youth murders friend following spat over drink in Wadi

Nagpur News: A minor scuffle between the two people after a drink led to a murder of one in Wadi. The deceased Pawan Choudhary, 30, resident of Indore in Madhya Pradesh was indiscreetly beaten up by the accused Ratiram Puram, making him seriously injured. Pawan succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Both were said to be good friends and often seen sharing drinks together.

The incident took place on Monday night at around 12 am.

Police sources informed that both the bereaved and accused worked as labourers at Mahurani transport at Khadgaon raod in Wadi. Pawan and Ratiram, 30, resident of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh used to booze regularly after the work.

On Monday, both were drunk heavily while a spat started between the two over a petty issue. The things turned ugly when the wordy dual turned into serious fight. Enraged over something Ratiram attacked Pawan on his head and beat him blue. As Pawan fell in ebriated condition, Ratiram continued kicking him leaving him unconscious on the spot.

Police rushed the spot upon complaint received by Rakesh Choudhary who also works at the same place. Pawan died on the spot while Ratiram was still at large. Police was clueless about Ratiram’s whereabouts.
