Youth cheated of Rs 1.75 lakh in the name of job in SBI, Air Asia

Nagpur: A 23-year old job seeking man was cheated by two cop persons including a woman to the tune of Rs 1.75 lakh on the pretext of providing him a job in State Bank of India or Air Asia.

The complainant, Leon Wilfred Francis (23), resident of Plot No. 33, St Martin Nagar, Jaripatka, was seeking placement since May 10, 2018 to February 16, 2019. He got information about placement on the Facebook page of Jafar New Placement. Soon he opened the page and followed it. Leon contacted phone numbers 9860277501 and 6268083488 mentioned on the page. One of the accused Hemlata Divan told Leon about placement in State Bank of India and Air Asia. The accused Hemlata later facilitated a conference with another accused named Abhishek Solanki.

Both the accused, probably having fictitious names, asked Leon to deposit Rs 1.75 lakh on their Paytm number. However, when Leon later contacted the two accused for the placement, they avoided him and thus cheated him of Rs 1.75 lakh.

Jaripatka police constable Rashtrapal booked the two con accused Hemlata Divan and Abhishek Solanki under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
