Nagpur: Wadi Police have booked a 22-year-old youth for allegedly raping a minor girl repeatedly by threatening her with dire consequences for over a year. Cops have booked the accused identified as Sandeep Palewar under Sections 376(2)(J)(H)(N),506(B) of the IPC read with Sections 4,6 of the POCSO Act.
According to police sources, the Wadi-based girl (now 18) was apparently known to the accused Sandeep. Between September 3, 2020 and October 1, 2021, Sandeep raped the minor girl by doling out threats to her. He also threatened the girl of dire consequences if she narrated the incident to anyone.

With this threat, Sandeep frequently exploited the girl physically for over four years. However, fed up with the exploitation and threats, the victimized girl narrated her ordeal to her mother following which a case was registered against the accused with Wadi Police.
