Nagpur News: A group of hooligans attacked a youth with a sword when he was playing carrom at his friend’s house near Mata mandir at Pandhrabodi. The youth reportedly tried to intervene in a fight between his friend and four accused who reportedly stormed into the house and threatened his friend with knife. The accused were allegedly asking for Rs 10000 from Mayur Govindrao Baswante, aged 28 years, on the knife point. His friend Lankesh Bawne who was attacked by the accused has been admitted to the Dande hospital where his condition was said to be stable. Ambazari police arrested one of the four accused Satish Yadav Dhoke while the three other are at large.
Satish, aged 30 years, a resident of same locality along with his accomplices Chhotu Shahu and two other boys went to Mayur’s house wielding the knife and sword. They asked Mayur to shell out an amount Rs 10000. Mayur refused to relent which led to the scuffle. Lankesh was playing carrom in another room. Sensing the dispute, Lankesh came out and tried to disrupt the accused one of whom attacked him with sword. All the four then rushed the spot while Satish took Mayur to the hospital. Ambazari police later registered the case and arrested Satish. Search for his other three accomplices is on.
