According to sources, the youth Bhimrao Vithhalrao Zodape, resident of Ward No. 4, near Railway Post, in his complaint alleged that the BJP leader Rajesh Chavan, residing in front of Bhimrao’s house, took advantage of the well-to-do family as Bhimrao’s father is working in Western Coalfileds Limited in Pipla. Bhimrao was searching for a job for a long time. The BJP leader Rajesh Chavan told Bhimrao that the Bhim Sena President Dnyaneshwar Gorlewar, resident of Binaki Mangalwari, Nagpur, has a reach with top leaders and he could provide him a job in a bank. Since Rajesh Chavan has a big BJP Labour Union office in Ward No. 3 and many labourers visited the office for resolving their problems, Bhimrao and his father believed him. The BJP leader Chavan took Bhimrao to the Bhim Sena President Gorlewar in Nagpur and discussed about job in a bank to Bhimrao. Chavan told Bhimrao that he will have to pay a total of Rs 4 lakh for the favour out of which Rs 2 lakh will have to be paid in advance and remaining Rs 2 lakh in installments from his salary once the job is provided to him. Bhimrao, believing both the BJP leader Rajesh Chavan and the Bhim Sena President Dnyaneshwar Gorlewar, allegedly  paid them Rs 60,000 as an advance in 2010.

However, despite frequent enquiries by Bhimrao to the BJP leader Rajesh Chavan about the prospects of the job in bank, Chavan started excusing himself by giving unsatisfactory replies like Gorlewar is not in Nagpur, he is out of station and so and forth. Finally, Bhimrao came to know that he has been cheated and relieved of Rs 60,000 by the bogus promise of providing him job in a bank. He straightaway approached the Khaperkheda Police Station and lodged a complaint today (November 25) against the BJP leader Rajesh Chavan and the Bhim Sena President Dnyaneshwar Gorlewar for allegedly cheating and relieving him of Rs 60,000 by doling out bogus promise of providing job in a bank.

According to sources, as the news of police complaint against the BJP leader Rajesh Chavan spread in the town, several youths reached the police station complaining alleged cheating by Chavan and taking money from them. When the PI Sayyed Iqbal of Khaperkheda Police Station was contacted for his comments in the case, he replied that a probe would be conducted in the matter.
