Nagpur: A young man was robbed at gun-point by four miscreants in Futala area of Ambazari police jurisdiction. The goons relieved the man of Rs 10,000, thrashed him and threatened to kill him when he protested. Although the incident took place on March 25 night, a complaint was lodged on April 1.
A resident of Qtr No. 111, CPWD Quarters, Gittikhadan, the victim Shankar Suresh Kotekar (27), in his complaint told police that he went to visit one of the four accused Sachin Durgaprasad Chauhan, resident of Pankaj Nagar, opposite Sharda Mandir around 11.45 pm on March 25. As he reached near Sachin’s house, three other accused namely Ankush Bansod, Bharat Sahare, and Satish Sahare, all residents of Wadi, accosted him and demanded money on credit. But when Shankar refused to give money, the four accused thrashed him and snatched Rs 10,000 from his pocket at the point of mauzer-like gun. The accused also bashed up in Futala area and threatened to kill him when he retaliated.
Ambazari PSI R G Meshram, acting on Shankar Kotekar’s complaint, booked the four accused under Sections 392, 294, 323, 506(B), 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
