The evil trait of the society is emerging fast in Nagpur, showing its ugly face with more cases of minor girls being savaged by the friendly person around them, cropping up. Under such a mess of things, it has turned a matter of concern for the parents on whom trust. The latest case of Yug Chandak has thrown open big worries over the security of children, especially minor girls.
In yet another incident, an 11-year-old girl was molested by a 35-year-old neighbour on Wednesday evening under the jurisdiction of Lakadganj police station.
The accused Sheikh Hafiz Sheikh Hasne (35) is neighbour of the 11-year-old victim. On Wednesday at around 4 pm, the victim went to Sheikh’s house. Grabbing the opportunity, the accused tried to outrage modesty of the girl with his indecent gestures. However, the girl ran away from the house and narrated the incidence to her parents.
On the basis of victim’s parent’s complaint, Lakadganj police have registered an offence under Sections 354 (a), (1) of the IPC and booked Sheikh Hafiz.
