Nagpur:
Maharashtra Airport Development Authority (MADC) had planned yet another food park in Mihan and has already floated fresh tender for the same. The facility will be developed on about 44 acre balance land available for the purpose of agro and forest based Industries Park. The decision was taken in the 58th meeting of Board of Directors held on March 31 informed a press release.

There is a dearth of processing industry based on local available raw material from agro and forest based sector in Vidharbha and particularly around Nagpur, despite of a good agricultural produce and ample forest available in the nearby round.

To boost up agro and forest based industries MADC has earmarked about 300 acre land outside notified SEZ in the MIHAN notified area, Nagpur for allotment to agro and forest based industries through competitive bidding process. MADC has already allotted about 234 acre land to M/s Patanjali Herbal Park for setting up agro and forest Industries Park in the MIHAN notified area.

The tender condition has been kept similar, in line with earlier tender for Food Park. The existing entrepreneur, who has procured land in MIHAN for Food Park shall not be eligible to participate in this new tender. This small step of MADC will go long way for benefit of farmers and tribal in the region. In this connection MADC has published an advertisement.
