YCCE rejoice the avid celebrations during ‘Icon Mechfiesta 2K15’

Like every year, the students of Yashwantrao College of Engineering celebrated Icon 15.0 with fervour.

ICON 15.0 is one of the awaited events of the year, wherein students of various departments participate in the fest. The two day’s National Level Technical fest this year comprised of 20 technical and semi-technical events of YCCE.

As and when visitors entered the college during the fest, they were seen enjoying the air filled with enthusiasm. The students were set to participate in the various competitions held at the fest. Fests are a major part of a student’s life during which they can showcase their talents in various fields. Fests are known to highlight the hidden talents of a student, by participating in the extra-curricular activities.

The students responsibly carried all the activities that highlighted their organizational skills. From one corner of the college, to the other were the organizers on their toes, making sure that all the activities are carried well. Cheers for their friends, applauses and photography were the highlights of the event.

Cricket match was something that had a large number of audiences cheering for them.

Students who participated in the dance competition stunned everyone with locking – popping and bollywood dance on hit numbers. The students from schools presented various hand-made projects where the effort by the children was visible. Many of the students participated in the drawing competition and won the awards.

Talking exclusively to Nagpur Today, many college students including the judges and organizers said that the event was totally enjoyable.

Roma –a committee member said, “ICON is a pulchritudinous platform for students to explore. Along with so many events it gave me raft of experiences. Some abases but the number of people who loved were more”.

Miloni Joshi- committee member said that “ICON is indeed a nostalgic experience. Felt like these two days should never have ended. Learnt a lot of things and created lots of memories”.

Sachit Patel said, “ICON 15.0 was fabulous. Many different events took place and as I was the judge of the talent search competition, it was really difficult for me to judge as each and every participant’s performance was outstanding. The event was a super hit and I enjoyed being a part of it”.

Siddhart Pandey- the President of the event said that “ICON- the name itself says everything. It is a 2 days long fest and is the most happening departmental fest of YCCE. Got to learn and experience a lot of things, the event was a great success and all the credit goes to the organizing committee”.

Vaishnava Tarone said that “ICON, of course is the most awaited event of ETC and EE department. All the preparations are initiated one week earlier and the event always is a hit. It is all possible because of the endless efforts of the students. We enjoy the fest to a great extent. This time was full of thrill and enthusiasm”
