The DCP had conceptualized QR (Quick Response) Code E-Beat System – a first in Nagpur

Nagpur: In an outreach to serve people in a better way, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 4, Noorul Hasan has urged locals to directly approach him in case of any inconvenience they faced. At the same time, he has also warned anti-social elements of stern action, if they by any means disturb the harmony of the society. Known for his pilot project of QR (Quick Response) Code E-Beat System — first in Maharashtra — DCP Hasan is now working on a mechanism to track down the criminals.

“Zone 4 cops are aiming to communicate directly with the citizens. Since taking charge, Zone 4 police have conducted over 300 public meetings. If citizens are subjected to any sort of inconvenience, they can directly pay a visit to the DCP Office. Their query will be resolved at the earliest,” assured DCP Noorul Hasan.

“In a bid to create a safe environment for citizens, Zone 4 cops have already launched a crackdown on record criminals and illegal gambling, liquor dens. Zone 4 cops have recently slapped Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) on a Nandanvan-based gang, three more proposals of MCOCA and MPDAs are under pipeline,” the DCP mentioned.

It is pertinent to mention that, DCP Hasan, known for his innovative style of policing, had conceptualized QR (Quick Response) Code E-Beat System — first in Maharashtra — to improve patrolling, easy monitoring of police personnel on beat and find out their real-time location. Following the success of the pilot project launched by DCP Hasan, who was in-charge of Zone 1 back then, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar had implemented the same QR Code Beat System, for the entire city. Notably, DCP Hasan is now working on a similar project to track the whereabouts of the criminals.
