Nagpur: In a frightening incident that has created ripples in Nandanvan area, body of a 25-year-old unidentified woman was found lying at an isolated place in Raut Nagar on Friday afternoon. The woman was probably murdered by slitting her throat elsewhere and her body dumped in Raut Nagar area in Nandanvan police jurisdiction.
The body was first spotted by some pedestrians who subsequently alerted Nandanvan Police. As per the preliminary details, the woman could have been killed elsewhere and her body was dumped in Raut Nagar. The woman’s throat bore a deep cut and blood was oozing from the wound.
Upon information, a team of Nandanvan police reached the spot and started investigation to ascertain identity of the victim. The body has been sent to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for autopsy.
Nandanvan police have shared the details about the woman’s body with all the neighbouring police stations for her identification.
