Nagpur News: Tremor of fear ran down the nerves of Kalamna residents when body of a woman with her face smashed brutally with a boulder was discovered on Tuesday at around 8.30 am.
Identified of the deceased has not been established so far but with her dressing, Kalamna police are speculating that the woman might be a labour. According to information, some commuters discovered the body of the woman in a pool of blood near a road at Chikhli Square, Kalamna. The news spread like a jungle fire and nearby resident gathered at the spot to witness the bloody scene. Someone informed police control room after which Kalamna Police Inspector Bandiwar reached the spot with his team. PI Bandiwar informed that the face of the victim was smashed completely to hide her identity. However, cops have started questioning the nearby resident to get any clue in the case.
Police said that most clues were washed away as it was raining heavily on Monday night. Cops are first trying to establish the identity of the victim. Till filing of the report, Kalamna police had performed panchanama of the scene and sent the body to Government Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.
