Nagpur: A 4-year old woman who was going to a bank in an auto for mortgaging her gold ornaments worth Rs 2.77 lakh was robbed of the booty by an unidentified woman passenger in Lakadganj police jurisdiction on Monday morning. Cops are searching for the con woman.
A resident of Plot No. 35B, Tukaram Nagar, Old Kamptee Road, Durga Rajendra Soni (47), around 11.30 am on Monday was going to her bank in an auto for mortgaging her gold ornaments worth Rs 2.77 lakh. Midway between Old Kamptee Road and Old Bus Stand Itwari, an unidentified woman passenger diverted Durga’s attention and filched her handbag. The con woman removed Durga’s gold ornaments wrapped in a cloth piece slyly and disembarked from the auto. When Durga reached bank and checked for the gold ornaments, she found the booty stolen.
Lakadganj ASI Rajkumar Upadhyay has registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC against the unidentified woman robber and searching for her.
