Nagpur: A rashly driven truck killed a woman and injured her brother in Mankapur area here on Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Asha Jain. Asha along with her brother Dahsrath Bairade, resident of Mouda, was coming to Nagpur on two-wheeler. As the sister-brother duo reached under Mankapur Flyover, their two-wheeler was rammed by recklessly driven truck (PB-46/M 8907). As a result, Asha reportedly came under the wheels of the truck and was crushed to death. The impact also left her brother Dashrath Bairade seriously injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he is reportedly battling for life. After the mishap, the driver of killer truck fled the spot leaving behind his vehicle.
According information, the brother-sister were lying on the road unattended for half an hour. But nobody came forward to help them. Some passersby even were busy in making video of the unfortunate incident.
