Nagpur: In the ever increasing incidents of rape, especially the scandalous crime perpetrated against minor girls, two more rape cases, one being a gang-rape, put the city to shame. One rapist has been arrested and a hunt has been mounted to nab two other accused.
In an audacious act, two anti-socials identified as Altamas and Akash barged into a 28-year old woman’s house in Kalamna area in the dead of Monday night. The accused Altamas and Akash gagged mouth of the woman and forcibly took her to terrace of the house. Later, the woman was gang-raped by the two goons. It is reported that the woman resisted the rape and shouted for help but nobody came to her help. After the heinous act, both the accused fled the scene and went absconding. The shackled woman later registered a case against both rapists at Kalamna Police Station.
PSI Sonparate has booked the accused Altamas and Akash under Sections 366, 376(D) of IPC and mounted a hunt to nab the absconding duo.
In the equally outrageous incident, a 4-year old girl was raped by her relative between 10 pm of Sunday and 8 am of Monday. The accused relative, Suraj alias Surya Gulab Neware (35), staying with the girl’s parents in Sonegaon area, took the girl to a vacant place and indulged in the heinous act. When the rape came to notice of the girl’s mother, she approached Sonegaon police and lodged a complaint against the accused.
API Nade registered an offence against the accused Suraj alias Surya Gulab Neware under Sections 376(2)(F)(I)(J) of IPC read with Sections 3, 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and succeeded in arresting him.
