Nagpur: A fraud woman not only forged vital documents by misusing name of her landlord but also cheated a bank by purchasing a car with the help of the bogus papers.
The accused Vimal Jwalaprasad Shrivastav (32), resident of Indrajit Enclave, Godhni, first misused name of her landlord Varun Pramod Washimkar (32) and procured driving license, PAN card, bank passbook etc. With the help of the forged documents, the accused Vimal purchased a Scorpio car (MH-31/CA 3841) from Nitin Wamanrao Thakre (33) of Plot No. 94, Awasthi Nagar, oppsit Chopde Lawn, on November 17, 2017. The con woman gave Rs 40,000 as advance to Thakre and the remaming Rs 4 lakh was to be paid to a bank as Thakre had purchased the car on loan. However, the accused Vimal Shrivastav did not deposit a single paisa in the bank and used the car for her own benefit. When the fraud came to the fore, a case was registered against the accused.
Mankapur API Tripathi, based on the complaint and investigation, booked the accused Vimal Shrivastav under Sections 417, 420, 406, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
