Western Coalfields Limited distributed cheques against land acquired for Gokul Project

Nagpur:  Western Coalfields Limited distributed cheques of land compensation to the villegers against land acquired by WCL for Gokul Project of Umrer Area yesterday. Thirty five villegers were given a sum of Rs. 8 (eight) cr. 88 (eighty eight) lacs as land compensation in Piraya village.

While addressing huge gathering of villegers, trade union leaders and employees, Chief Guest of the programme  S. S. Malhi, Director Technical (Projects & Planning) of WCL said that by opening of new mines villagers, area and nation will develop. The farmers who have given their land for mining to WCL are part and parcel of the company.

Speaking about ambitious plan of WCL to inrease production upto 60.00 Million Tonnes by 2019. Shri Malhi appealed to all stakeholders for their help and support.

Gokul project will contribute in annual production of Umrer area which will register positive grwoth in over all production of the company. The nearby areas of mine will get development and people will get employment. This would re-write the production history of of Umrer Area.

Member of Parliament Krupal Tumane, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly Shri Sudhir Parve also expressed their views during the programme. Director Technical (Projects & Planing) S. S. Malhi, SDM, Umrer Umesh Kale, Area General Manager of Umrer Area T. N. Jha, were prominently on the dais with other dignitaries.
