WCL staffer drowns in Saoner’s Waghoda mine

Nagpur: An employee of Western Coalfields Ltd ( WCL) drowned in Waghoda mine in Saoner area on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Milind Pandurang Mogre (58), a resident of Quarter No. 72/1,WCL colony, Shankti Nagar, Saoner.

According to police, Mogre had gone to duties on Monday. One Amardeep Mohan Gupta, a resident Shakti Nagar, came to the house of Mogre and told the family that Mogre died of drowning in the mine.

On the basis of details given by Mrugaya Mogre (23), daughter of the deceased, Saoner police registered a case of accidental death.
