Nagpur: A middle-aged man was looted on knife-point on Wednesday and was relieved of cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 52,000. MIDC police has registered the case.
According to information, Mahipal Mahadev Meshram (42), a resident of Isasani, MIDC along with his colleague had gone to Mondha in connection of LIC work. They were heading from Isasani Waghdhara, Shiva Road, on their WagonR car (MH 31 DB 5420) when two motorcycle-borne youths came from behind and blocked their way. They forcefully pulled out Mahipal and looted cash Rs 42,000 and gold jewellery collectively worth Rs 52,000 on knife-point and fled the scene.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by Mahipal, MIDC police registered an offence under Sections 392 and 34 of the IPC.
