Waylayers attack young girl and man in separate incidences

Nagpur  News: A young girl and a man were relieved of their valuables and cash in two separate incidences in city on Friday and Saturday under the jurisdiction of Sadar and Sonegaon police stations.

A young girl named Swati Keshav Kothe (23), a resident of Bajrang Nagar, was heading home on her Activa (MH 31 DW 8913) from Bhagini Mandal on Friday afternoon around 1.30 pm. Three unidentified person came on a black pulsar bike and stopped her beside Mangalwari garden, near flyover. The thieves demanded the gold earrings worn by Swati. When she refused to consent to their demand, the thieves slashed her both hands with a cutter and injured her. The thieves stole her earrings worth Rs 8,000 and fled the scene.

Swati reached Sadar police station and lodged a complaint against the unidentified thieves after undergoing preliminary medical treatment. Cops registered an offence under sections 394 and 34 of the IPC against the thieves.

In another incidence, two truck drivers were beaten and looted by three unidentified thieves at Khapri-Parsodi Wardha Road. Surjit Singh Balbir Singh Kangla (30), a resident of Baba Buddhaji Nagar, Pachpaoli parked his truck (MH 31 CQ 7456) near National Service Centre, Khapri at Khapri-Parsodi Wardha Road. Three unidentified thieves entered the truck and attacked Surjit with a torch and snatched Rs 1000 kept in his pocket. The thieves targeted another truck (MH 36 F 2577) and pelted stone at the wind-shield. The thieves then attacked the cleaner Amol Rathod (20) and injured him.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Surjit, Sonegaon police booked the thieves and registered an offence under Sections 392, 394, 427 and 34 of the IPC. Cops have launched a manhunt for the thieves.
