Nagpur: Walkathon and Dream Run 2018, organised by Rotary Club of Nagpur and Arneja Hospital, was held on Sunday near ‘Ramgiri’, the official residence of Chief Minister. The road is also called ‘Walkers’ Road’. Over 8 000 Nagpurians participated and showed the fitness freak spirit of sports.
In the event, contestants can walk and also run in distance of 3km, 5km and 10km. The participants gathered in huge numbers and ran for various social causes and also to promote spirit of sports.
The star attraction of the event was 93-year old Peshotan Mehta, who was participating since the past 15 Walkathon editions, motivated the youngsters.
With enthusiasm and loud cheers, the participants made the event memorable for themselves and their family and friends. With selfie trend at its peak, so how our youngster can forget to capture memorable snaps with loved ones. Food court was arranged for the participants.
Prize ceremony took place where every distance zone was having their three winners. At the end event was ended with refreshment snack, fruits and Bollywood number DJ.
