Anxiety looms large over students, and, parents, too, as the CBSE is not showing any signs of early date of results. The result is not only awaited by Nagpur students but thousands of students from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Daman and Diu which come under Chennai Region.

Nagpur News:

The wait for results of Class 10th CBSE students, who dream and quest for a bright future, is getting lengthier and lengthier as there is no immediate sign of the results would be declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The lengthier the period the lengthier the anxiety. As is said by a scholar: “It is only through raising expectations and striving for excellence that our children can reach their full potential.” Therefore, the students should not be in the grip of anxiety or for that matter should wait for the proper time. The time is solution to all problems.

It may be recalled that the Class 10th CBSE examinations were held between March 2 and 15. The students, naturally were expecting the results to come out soon in this hi-tech era, as the exams were conducted quite early and, got over too, in a very short period of time.

The CBSE is yet to announce the result dates for reasons best known to the CBSE authorities. But the delay is causing uncertainty and anxiety to the students and their parents, albeit, unnecessarily . The CBSE class XII results date has been announced after long wait which is on May 27. But the students Class X are clueless about their results.

The Nagpur city falls under Chennai Region of CBSE. The Chennai Region consists of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Daman and Diu. The result date, therefore, is not being awaited not only by Nagpur students, but students in many states.

Asiya Mannan, student, Centre Point School, said, “Me along with my friends all of us are really tensed. The board should bring an end to this suspense and fix a date at least. Whatever the result may be, I plan to celebrate it with my friends and family.”

The parents are also a worried lot by the delay in declaration of results. Moiz Haq, a parent, said, “I am not at all tense but at the same time I feel that the result date should have been declared along the exam dates itself as the concerned authorities have an idea about the number of students appearing for the exam. Hence the approximate time period to examine the answer sheets can be easily estimated. Also, due to this uncertainty in declaration of result dates, every now and then, rumours and fictitious SMSes about the result dates take rounds and rounds that misguide the students and their parents, too. We could’ve been able to plan vacations or similar other things if the result date would have been anticipated. Comparatively, more inconvenience is faced by the parents than the students,” Moiz Haq lamented.

Swapna Ghosh (Mother): “This time the exams commenced quite early comparatively and got over within fifteen days, too! Hence, we were expecting that the results as well would be declared earlier. But it has, obviously, not happened. I am definitely anxious. The CBSE authorities should declare a final date that will help us prepare for further steps, and plan things monetarily as well. My plan includes my daughter’s admission. But all depend when the results get declared.
Similarly, Trisha Ghosh, a student of Centre Point School said, “I am waiting anxiously for the results. It is difficult to concentrate on daily routine work with the tension hovering over the results. Till now, the grey area in my brain has been occupied by result, and only result. After every three hours, I check the official website just out of curiosity, although I got no fruitful information as yet. However, after the results will be out, I plan to continue my studies at high school, and also I’ve already taken admission in the coaching class for NEET.”

Shubham Soni: “It is time for us to enjoy, but the delay is sucking my mind, and now I am finding myself in a stressed lot. We are happy in a way as the results are getting delayed. So are we free at present from the hustles and bustles of admissions and other related matters like tuitions etc.

Sushma Soni (Mother): “Here is the situation that’s creating a hell of a stress and tension. The results are getting delayed so are the admissions. The CBSE should declare the results soon. Yes the kids are tensed but are enjoying to the fullest. Shubham told me first that the results were going to be declared on May 21, then 24th, and now, he’s telling the final is date May 28. Now, I am pondering over so many dates till this delay persists.”
