Bhopal / Nagpur: The death of 19-year old MBBS student Namrata Damor (Indore) that had occurred in year 2012 has again caught the limelight, and it is to be re-investigated under growing pressure on the government, said Ujjain superintendent of police, Manohar Singh Verma, confirming that the necessary orders to her case file have already been issued.

It may be mentioned here that Mahatma Gandhi Medical College’s MBBS student Namrata Damor’s death is linked to much infamous Vyapam scam. She had sought admission to medical seat through Vyapam only. Her body was found on railway track on July 7, 2012 under suspicious circumstances. Earlier her death was found as accidental and the case file was closed, surprisingly within 24 hours.

After journalist Akshay Singh, who was giving coverage to the Vyapam-linked incident of her death and who had visited her house at Meghnagar (Jhabua) to collect relevant details, was also killed mysteriously, the case started bearing a new suspicious look, as well as public pressure on MP government. As a result, Ujjain SP Verma, on Tuesday, deputed SDPO of Tarana, R K Sharma, to re-open her case file from the beginning.
