Nagpur: The Nagpur Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (NMRDA) has asked citizens to remain alert while making property transactions in rural parts of the district owing to rise in fraudulent practices by unscrupulous persons.
Similarly, NMRDA stated that notices are being issued under Section 53 of the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning Act, 1966, to unauthorised constructions under its jurisdiction.
There are reports of unauthorised sale and purchase of plots by fabricating land records and people are restoring to blind purchase but the same is a cognisable offense. In such a case, NMRDA will take action against the unauthorised construction.
Hence, citizens are advised not to purchase unauthorised plots/ houses. The list of approved layouts and properties are uploaded on NMRDA website www.nmrda.org.
