Amravati: Four workers engaged in a painting work died of electrocution at Pote Engineering College here, on Wednesday. The college is owned by Former Minister of State Praveen Pote.
The workers were reportedly painting the college gate when the incident occurred.
“Done with the painting of the gate, the workers reportedly tried to move their ladder, when it came into contact with the live wire. Consequently, the four labourers died on the spot,” said sources.
The videos of the incident took social media platforms by the storm. In the meantime, the squad of Amravati Police have rushed to the spot and sent bodies for postmortem. Further details awaited.
