Nagpur: Amid the post poll turmoil in Maharashtra over 50-50 power sharing formula between BJP and Shiv Sena, the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited RSS headquarters here on Tuesday. Fadnavis is understood to have arrived at some understanding in his meeting with senior sangh leaders, hinting at the probable end of the ongoing tussle with Shiv Sena.
The minutes of the meeting were not disclosed yet but the CM’s meeting with Sangh leaders hold significance in view of his recent meeting with Amit Shah. Sources claimed that Fadnavis had probably visited to convey plan B of BJP, in case Shiv Sena does not support him for the post of CM. Sources said that as per plan B, the BJP will step back, making way for Shiv Sena to form government along with NCP, only to weaken it in the middle of the tenure by gaining strength through defections of ruling MLAs. This plan has been reportedly devised on the lines of Karnataka, where BJP had the last laugh.
Earlier on Tuesday, names of Chandrakant Patil and Sudhir Mungantiwar also surfaced for CM’s post but the BJP has ruled out any such changes as of now.
