Nagpur: Veteran BJP leader and former Union HRD Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, who arrived in Nagpur on Tuesday evening from New Delhi, had a lengthy deliberation with top functionaries of RSS at its Mahal-based Headquarters on Wednesday morning.

Dr Joshi visited the RSS Headquarters around 11.15 am and spent more than an hour with the top brass of the organisation. He has reportedly also met the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Dr Joshi came of the building around 12.30 pm and avoided the waiting media persons.

The contents of deliberation Dr Joshi had with RSS top functionaries were under wraps but the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, current situation in the country and other topics could have figured in the talks, sources said.

It may be recalled that the all-important meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, the highest body for policy formulation and decision making of Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is scheduled to be held in March, 2018, in Nagpur. The meeting is crucial as election for the post of Sarkaryavah, the second highest post in RSS after Sarsanghachalak, will be held. More than 1400 Pratinidhis are likely to attend the meeting. One of the contentious issues of the Pratinidhi Sabha meeting is election of Sarkaryavah. This election will be held during the meeting. Currently, Bhayyaji Joshi is Sarkaryavah of RSS and his tenure is ending in March 2018.

Dr Joshi could have held discussion over the event as well.
