Verdict in Yug Chandak kidnapping & murder case now on Jan 30

yug-chandakNagpur: The anxiously and angrily awaited verdict in the macabre Yug Chandak kidnapping and murder case, slated to pronounce on Thursday (January 28), will now be delivered on January 30. After the prosecution and defence completed their arguments in the case today, the Principal District and Sessions Judge K K Sonavane declared that the judgment in the case will be pronounced on January 30. The verdict in the tremors-sending kidnapping and murder is being awaited with bated breath.

During the last hearing, the defence had submitted arguments in written form. Earlier, the prosecution presented their evidence on the basis of eye-witnesses, post-mortem report, CCTV footage etc. The names of the accused are Rajesh Dhanalal Daware (19) and Arvind Abhilash Singh (23). The memories of this heart-rending September 1, 2014 incident are still fresh in the minds of lakhs and lakhs of citizens. During the high-voltage trial, the prosecution examined a total of 50 witnesses while defence the seven. The court posed around 800 questions to both the accused during the course of the trial.

The State is being represented by Additional Government Pleader Jyoti Vajani while the complainant is being represented by Adv Rajendra Daga and Adv Manoj Dullarwar. Both the accused are represented by Adv Agrawal and Adv Manmohan Upadhyay.
