Nagpur: Vidarbha Computer & Media Dealers’ Welfare Association, VCMDWA Nagpur is an old and reputed Apex Body of dealers of Vidarbha, dealing in Information Technology (IT) products.
The major objective of the association is to maintain constant interaction and comradeship between the member dealers and to ensure general welfare and prosperity of Computer and Media Dealers of Vidarbha, their staff members and also the family members.
In line with above basic objectives, VCMDWA has come out with a novel initiative “Chai Pe Charcha”.
President of VCMDWA Rajesh Saboo said that they have decided to hold ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ on First Sunday of every month in this interactive discussion program which will be divided in two parts, in the first part one of our existing and established members will address the members on a particular subject as well as give his insights and share his rich experience about the trade, which will definitely do value addition and help members with Out of the Box thinking. This initial 15 minutes session will be followed by a guest lecture, discussing the current industry trends, practices, future road map of the industry, areas of opportunity and also concerns”,
Secretary of VCMDWA’s Dinesh Naidu explained that they will definitely incorporate modules, which will be very helpful for the staff members of the association members. Such modules will include technical training on existing and upcoming technologies, hands on sessions on new products and also soft skills like communication, etiquettes & manners, written & verbal communication etc. This will increase the efficiency of the staff members and boost their confidence. Subsequently, we will definitely plan some events for the family of association members”.
The first such “Chai Pe Charcha” was held on Sunday August 7, 2016 at the Association’s IT Hall at Bajaj Nagar. The event witnessed a large number of members, who were quite excited to learn.
Managing Director of Business Algorithms Nagpur Sudhir Budhay spoke about Acquisition of New Customers viz a viz Retention of Old Customers. His short speech of about 20 minutes threw light on factors like high cost of acquisition of new customers, measures to be adapted for retaining old customers, value of word of mouth publicity made by existing customers and so on. He also warned the members to offer only those products and services, for which the organization is known. “You must not forget the DNA of your organization” cautioned Sudhir Budhay.
For the first guest lecture the hot topic amongst the industry Goods & Services Tax- GST was choosen. CA Shambu Tekriwal , partner of Chandak & Tekriwal was invited, CA Tekriwal in a very simple language explained the likely working of GST, concept of Central GST, State GST, Interstate GST, transition from existing Tax heads to GST and also steps to be taken by the members for its smooth implementation. His talk was followed by Question/Answer session and he very patiently answered all the questions to the full satisfaction of the participants.
President Rajesh Saboo and Dinesh Naidu Secretary of VCMDWA expressed their heartfelt thanks and presented a memento to CA Shambhu Tekriwal on behalf of all the members.
The members were all charged up and are eagerly looking forward to the next “Chai Pe Charcha”, scheduled on September 5, 2016.
