Nagpur: The Women and Children Welfare Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is organizing ‘Mahila Udyojika Melawa’ (Women Entrepreneurs Fair) from March 6 in city. The ‘Mahila Udyojika Melawa’ is organized every year and is aimed at empowering women and making them self-sufficient in all spheres. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at 5 pm in Kasturchand Park. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will be chief guest while Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, renowned actress Sonali Kulkarni will be special guests. The programme will be presided over by Mayor Pravin Datke.
Arrangements for 300 stalls have been made for the ‘Mahila Udyojika Melawa’ which will be participated by Mahila Bachat Gats, women entrepreneurs, voluntary organizations, and other organizations. A variety of products will be on display such as food products, handicrafts, products created by ‘Divyang’ persons, terracotta craft, potteries, carpets, jute products, readymade garments, jewellery, herbal products, leather purses, perfumes and a lot of products. During the ‘Melawa,’ various programmes, including cultural programmes are being organized to showcase the event from March 6 to 13.
