Director General Ordnance Factories to grace the occasion as Chief Guest
Nagpur: The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), a unit run under the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, Ordnance Factory Board, is one of the premier Central Training Institutes of Government of India for imparting training to Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) and also allied establishments/cadres in the wide arena of Management and Technology.
NADP organizes a 64-Week Induction Training Programme for IOFS Probationary Officers on their appointment in Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), after selection by UPSC through Civil Services Exam and Engineering Services Exam etc.
This year, forty three IOFS Probationary Officers of the 2014 (I & II) Batch will pass out. A Valedictory Function is scheduled on the February 17, 2016 at NADP, Ambazhari. These IOFS officers shall assume charge as Assistant Works Managers in 41 Ordnance Factories located all over India.
The Valedictory Function will be graced by Director General Ordnance Factories (DGOF) & Chairman, Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) A K Prabhakar IOFS as Chief Guest. Defence PRO, Wing Commander Samir S Gangakhedkar intimated that many dignitaries of Nagpur and Senior Officers of the Government of India are expected to grace the Valedictory Function at NADP.
