UPSC CDS Exam II to be conducted on November 1 around 463 vacancies

Nagpur: The Combined Defence Service (CDS) Exam II  will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 4 days i.e November 1 for 463 vacancies. Aspirants will be required to appear for three papers that include General Knowledge, English and Elementary Mathematics. You will also be tested on the basis of your understanding of the usage of the words and English. The code subject of the English section is (O1). The exam duration is 2 hours and the maximum marks allotted for the examination is 100 marks.

Paper-II of UPSC CDS II exam, candidates giving General Knowledge exam will be tested on current events, and of experience in their scientific aspects and matters of everyday observation. (O2) is the subject code of the General Knowledge section candidates and will be tested on History of Geography and India. Carrying a 100 marks and is of 2 hours and for Paper-III, for the Elementary Mathematics. Aspirants will be tested on graduation level and class 12/ matriculation level.

While Elementary Mathematics paper will consist of Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Mensuration. And the subject code of the General Knowledge section is (O3).

Those appearing in are required to apply online only, by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. You should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of students allotted to each of the centres except Chennai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Dispur and Nagpur. Centres allotment will be on the first-apply-first-allot basis and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen.
