UP: 5 killed, 12 injured as New Farakka Express derails in Raebareli

Lucknow: At least five people are dead as the new the New Farakka Express’ five bogies derailed in Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli on Wednesday morning. Several passengers are feared trapped as well.

The incident took place 50 meters from the Harchandpur railway station. As per reports, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, health authorities and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to reach the spot and provide all the possible help.

As per reports, the train was running on the wrong track.
