Two officials suspended in toilet water issue

Nagpur: Education Extension Officer Suresh Kisanrao Dhote and Panchayat Samiti Center Chief Baban Dhawale have been suspended for not taking their responsibility seriously during the Zilla Parishad’s school sports competition, as per the report of the two-member inquiry committee regarding the issue of toilet water. Similarly divisional inquiry is being done against Education Extension Officer Chaya Ingole, according to Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, Dr Kamdambari Balkawade.

According to the Education Department’s Primary Education Officer, Dipendra Lokhande, a proposal was sent to the government to take appropriate action against them. A complaint has been lodged against the concerned contractor in Sadar police station and instructions have been issued to keep the contractor black listed for a year. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, Dr Kamdambari Balkawade informed.

A two member committee was constituted to carry out a detailed inquiry into the toilet water issue as it had appeared in media and so cognisance was taken and a two-member committee was constituted to investigate the issue of toilet water during the school sports competition. According to the committee report, the head of the Education Extension Officer and the Nagpur Panchayat Samiti centre chief have been suspended. In addition to the Departmental inquiry, memorandum and annexure have been submitted to hold divisional inquiry against the Education Extension Officer, Chhaya Ingole.
