Two mobile towers of Tata & Viyom Network sealed for defaulting Property Tax payment

The mobile tower of Tata Tele Services, in the name of 21st Century Infra Tele Limited, located at Kamal Towers in Ramdaspeth and other mobile tower of Viyom Network Limited in Abhyankar Nagar were seized and sealed for defaulting Property Tax payment of Rs 8,55,905 and Rs 7,56,647 respectively.

Nagpur News: The cracking of whip by NMC on bigwig Property Tax defaulters in recent past continued when it initiated a towering action by sealing two mobile towers of reputed companies.

The Laxmi Nagar Zone-1 Tax Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation has sealed three properties for recovering the Property Tax defaulters. The NMC has also put the defaulters on notice by issuing an ultimatum to pay the Tax within five days or the properties would be auctioned and the pending dues of Rs 11,86,926 will be recovered from the auctioned amounts. The Tax Department acted tough in all five warrants and recovered Rs 31,23,569 from the defaulters.

The mobile tower of Tata Tele Services, in the name of 21st Century Infra Tele Limited, located at Kamal Towers in Ramdaspeth and other mobile tower of Viyom Network Limited in Abhyankar Nagar were seized and sealed for defaulting Property Tax payment of Rs 8,55,905 and Rs 7,56,647 respectively. Apart from the two mobile towers, an open plot of land belonging to Omprakash Mainani in State Bank Colony was seized and sealed for non-payment of Property Tax to the tune of Rs 74,374.

The seize and seal operation was carried out by the Tax Inspector Dhanorkar, Gurnule, Shrikhande, Narnavre, Mrs Jivne, Lohe, Mrs Ganorkar, Virmalwar, Chimantrawar, S S Rathod, Dhankar, Nichat, Kapgate, and Shegokar under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Laxmi Nagar Zone Ganesh Rathod, said a press release issued by the Assistant Commissioner/Ward Officer of the Laxmi Nagar Zone.
