Two minor kids go missing from different areas

Nagpur: Two minor children, a boy and girl, went missing and reportedly kidnapped from different areas on Sunday. Cops have mounted a search to trace the kids.

In the first incident, the complainant Sanjay Wamanrao Gudadhe (45), resident of Plot No. 43, Swami Nagar, near Durga Mata Mandir, told police that his 13-year old son Sumit went missing around 10.30 am on Sunday. Sumit was sent to collect the ID Card of Class XII examination but he went missing from the stretch of road between Swami Nagar and Kapil Nagar Square. All efforts to find Sumit proved futile setting panic in the family.

Jaripatka API Hanvate, following the Supreme Court directives that if any minor boy or girl goes missing, then the case should be treated as that of kidnapping, registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and has mounted a massive hunt to trace the kid.

Similarly, a 13-year old girl, resident of Hudkeshwar locality, left home without informing other family members around 10 pm on Sunday. Since then she has not returned home. The panicky parents of the girl searched her at all possible places but in vain.

Hudkeshwar PSI B M Totewar, in this case also, following the Apex Court orders, registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and has mounted a search to find the girl.
