Two men try to murder man over old brawl in Jaitala, arrested

Nagpur: Raging to settle score over an old quarrel, two men attempted to murder their rival by attacking him with a tile and inflicting serious injuries on his head. The injured man has been admitted to GMCH and battling for life. The two accused assaulters have been arrested. The brutal attack was witnessed by a couple who runs a tea stall near the spot on Outer Ring Road, Jaitala Bazaar Square in Pratap Nagar police jurisdiction. The incident took place on Tuesday noon.

A resident of Plot No. 43, Ranjana Nivas, Amar Asha Layout, Sonegaon, Krushna Venkati Nagilla (43), in his complaint to police said that he and his wife were present in the tea stall opposite Sai Sabhagruha, Outer Ring Road, Jaitala Bazaar, around 12 noon on Tuesday. The two accused Nilesh Rajesh Naidu (30), resident of Isasani, MIDC and Ayub Sheikh Abdul Sheikh (30) of Somalwada, Rahul Nagar, were sitting on a bench near the tea stall. The victim named Ramu, aged 30-35 years, was also there. The two accused and Ramu were in heated argument over an old brawl. Suddenly, the two accused lifted a piece of tile and hit Ramu on his head one by one with the intention of killing him. The profusely bleeding Ramu was taken to GMCH with head injuries and was battling for life. Being witness to the attack, Krushna Nagilla alerted Pratap Nagar police and also lodged a complaint.

ASI Rajesh Raut booked the two accused Nilesh Naidu and Ayub Sheikh Abdul Sheikh under Sections 307, 34 of the IPC and arrested them. Further probe is underway.
