Nagpur: Sadar Police have booked two unidentified men for allegedly attacking a 38-year-old doctor near NADT Compound Gate here on Tuesday night. Fortunately, when the locals intervened the accused duo fled the spot.
Based on the complaint lodged by Dr Shashikant Shrikrishna Wagade (38), a resident of Matri Complex, behind Kalpana Talkis cops have registered an offence under Section 326,34 of the IPC against the unidentified accused and launched the manhunt of the accused.
According to police, Dr Wagade was on his way to home after withdrawing money from the SBI ATM when two miscreants aged between 25-30 reportedly intercepted him near NADT Compound Gate and started assaulting Dr Wagade. Some onlookers then reportedly intervened following which the duo then fled the spot, police said.
