Two killed, two others injured in different road accidents

Nagpur: Two persons were killed and two others were injured when the vehicles they were riding in met with accidents in different areas on Monday night. One accused has been arrested in this connection while the other is being searched by cops.

In the first incident, three friends were riding on Activa (MH-31/EV 4769) triple seat. One of them, Kailash Indrapal Nimbone (23), resident of Nelco Society, behind Nagarjun Hospital, Pratapnagar, was riding the vehicle while Ranjit Bhimrao Naik (18) and Rakesh Ramesh Sevatkar were pillion. When the Activa reached near Campus Square, Amravati Road, a Tata Safari (MH-40/KR 8842), rammed into the Activa with forceful impact around 0130 hours of Tuesday. As a result, the three friends crashed on the road and suffered grievous injuries. Unfortunately, Kailash succumbed to injuries on the spot while Ranjit and Rakesh were rushed to Dande Hospital near Ravinagar Square by nearby people where they are reportedly battling for life.

Ambazari API Surose, based on a complaint, has booked the unidentified driver of Tata Safari under Sections 279, 337, 338, 304(A) of IPC and mounted a search to apprehend him.

In another incident, Sanjay Chindhuji Mhaske (40), resident of Dhadwal Layout, Ajni, was going towards Shatabdi Nagar Square, Ring Road on his motorcycle (MH-40/B 504) around 11.45 pm on Monday. As Sanjay was nearing the square, a recklessly driven truck MH-15/CK 5277), hit him. The impact left Sanjay seriously injured and he died on the spot even before medical help could be provided to him. The accident led to tension in the area but timely arrival of cops from Ajni Police Station called down the situation.

Ajni PSI Mohod registered a case against the driver of the killer truck Akshay Arun Shewale (20), native of Nilkhod, District Jalgaon, under Sections 279, 304(A) of IPC and placed him under arrest.
